- Whoever contravenes any provisions of clause (b) or (c) of sub-section (1) of section 433 shall, on conviction, be punished,

(a) for a first offence, with fine which may extend to [two thousand rupees;] [These words were substituted for the words 'One thousand rupees' by Maharashtra 21 of 1989 Section 60(a).]

(b) for a second and subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to [one year and with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees;] [These words were substituted for the words 'six months and with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees' by Maharashtra 21 of 1989, Section 60(b).]
