- If it shall be shown that an offence against some provision of this Chapter or against some bye-law made under this Act at the time in force relating to water supply has occurred on any premises to which a private supply of water is furnished by the corporation, the owner, the person primarily liable for the payment of water tax and the occupier of the said premises shall be jointly and severally liable for the same.] [Sub-section (2) was added by Maharashtra 21 of 1989, Section 41(b).]
