This Act may be called the Betwa River Board Act, 1976.

It shall come into force on such [date] [25.10.1976: Vide Notification No G.S.R. 1518, dated 14.10.1976.] as the Central Government may, after consultation with the Governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
