It shall be the duty of every operator of a common bio-medical waste treatment and disposal facility to— (a) ensure timely collection and transportation of bio-medical waste from health care facilities; (b) ensure that treatment and disposal of bio-medical waste is carried out in accordance with these rules; (c) ensure occupational safety of all its workers and immunisation of all health workers involved in handling bio-medical waste.
