119. Notice of forfeiture of property.
(1) If, as a result of any investigation carried out or evidence collected or any information received under this Chapter, the Court has reason to believe that all or any of the properties referred to in this Chapter are proceeds of crime, it may serve a notice upon such person (including a person resident outside India) calling upon him within a period of thirty days to indicate the source of income, earning or assets, out of which or by means of which he has acquired such property.
(2) Where a notice under sub-section (1) cannot be served in the manner provided for the service of summons, it shall be deemed to have been served if it is affixed to some conspicuous part of the property in question or published in a local newspaper.
