377. Procedure where person of unsound mind detained is declared fit to be released.
(1) If such person is confined under the provisions of section 374, and the Inspector-General of Prisons or the visitors of such public mental health establishment certify that in his or their judgment he may be released without danger of his doing injury to himself or to any other person, the State Government may thereupon order him to be released or to be detained in custody, or to be transferred to a public mental health establishment if he has not already been sent to such an establishment.
(2) If the State Government orders him to be released, it may require him to give security that he will be properly taken care of and prevented from doing injury to himself or to any other person.
