466. Sentence on escaped convict when to take effect.

When a sentence of death, imprisonment for life or fine is passed under this Sanhita on an escaped convict, such sentence shall, if he is undergoing a sentence of imprisonment, take effect immediately according to the provisions of section 467 and, if he is undergoing a sentence of death, shall take effect after the execution of the latter sentence has been remitted or commuted, and the order of the Court shall cease to operate only in the event of the latter sentence being carried into effect.
