Officers of Motor Vehicles Department not below the rank of Motor Vehicle inspector and officer not below the rank of Sub-inspector of Police shall recover the penalty laid down under sub-section (1) of section 201 of the Act, The procedure prescribed in sub-rule (2) to sub-rule (7) of rule 349 shall be followed in such cases.

The authority to impound document under section 206 of the Act shall be any police officer not below the rank of Sub-inspector or Sergeant or any officer of the Transport Department not below the rank of Motor Vehicles Inspector.
