(1)
No person shall drive, or suffer or cause to be driven, in any public place any motor vehicle to which a trailer is or trailers are attached unless there is exhibited on the back of the trailer or of the last of the trailers in the Form as may be prescribed in this behalf in retro-reflective red colour and white background.
(2)
The mark shall be kept clean and unobscured and shall be so fixed to the trailer that -
(i) the letter on the mark is vertical and easily distinguishable from the rear of the trailer;
(ii) the mark is either on the centre or to the right hand side of the back of the trailer; and
(iii) no part thereof is at a height exceeding one hundred and twenty centimetres from the ground.
(3)
This rule shall not apply to the case referred to the clauses (a), (c) and (d) of sub-rule (4) of rule 310 of these rules.
