The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make rules for any local area imposing conditions in respect of the sale of any class of interests in land in execution of decrees for the payment of money, where such interests are so small or of such a nature that, in the opinion of the State Government, the unrestricted right of sale in execution of such decrees is likely to lead to the undue impoverishment of agriculturists or to the excessive subdivision of agricultural land.
