Section 10 TEPR (The Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986): All effluents discharged including from the industries such as cotton textile, composite woollen mills, synthetic rubber, small pulp and paper, natural rubber, petro-chemicals, tanneries, paint, dyes, slaughter houses, food fruit processing and dairy [industries] into surface waters shall conform to the BOD limits specified above, namely, 30 mg/ 1.
