Subject to the control and direction of the [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government the powers conferred on the [Director] [This word was substituted for the word 'Commissioner' by Bombay 28 of 1950, Schedule] or any other officers appointed or invested with powers under this Act may be delegated by him to any of his subordinates.
