The [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government may, by rules or an order in writing, authorise an officer to grant a vendor's licence [or the sale of foreign liquor.] [These words were added by Bombay 22 of 1960, section 19(a).]

A vendor's licence shall be granted on the following conditions-
(i) the stock of foreign liquor with the licensee (except what is permitted for the disposal in the shop) shall be kept by him at [godown] [This word was substituted for the word 'warehouse', by Bombay 22 of 1960, section l9(b)(i).] approved by Government.
(iii) the licensee shall pay all rent, costs, charges and expenses incidental to warehousing and supervision.
(iv) [ the licensee may sell any part of the stock of foreign liquor to foreign liquor licensees or to chemists, canteens, messes and clubs, holding licences in the State, or to any persons outside the State, subject to such conditions as the Director may impose; [These clauses were substituted for the original, by Bombay 22 of 1960, Section 19(b)(iii).]
(v) the licensee shall be permitted to sell foreign liquor only to holders of permits or authorizations;]
(vi) the licensee shall be entitled to keep in his shop such quantity of liquor as may be required by him from time to time for retail sale;
