Every subscriber shall—

1. on acceptance of the Electronic Signature Certificate, ensure the control of the private key corresponding to the public key listed in his Electronic Signature Certificate and take all steps to prevent its disclosure to a person not authorised to affix the digital signature of the subscriber;
2. without delay, where the private key corresponding to the public key listed in his Electronic Signature Certificate has been compromised, communicate the same to the Certifying Authority in such manner as may be specified by the regulations.
