Any person who violates any of the provisions of this Act or commits any act of commission or omission in violation of the provisions of this Act or any rules or any order made thereunder shall, on conviction, if no other punishment is prescribed for the same offence under this Act, be punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both.
