- Subject to the provisions of this Act, the statutes may provide for,-

1. the constitution, functions and powers of the authorities of the University and such other bodies, as may be declared to be the authorities of the University, from time to time;
2. the continuance in office of the members of the said authorities or bodies, filling up of vacancies of members and such other matters relating to other authorities;
3. the conferment of honorary degrees;
4. holding of convocations for conferring degrees;
5. the withdrawal of degrees, diplomas and certificates and other academic distinctions;
6. the establishment, maintenance and abolition of faculties, departments, hostels, colleges and institutions;
7. the conditions of affiliation of colleges, and those under which affiliation may be withdrawn;
8. the institution of Emeritus professorships, visiting professorships, fellowships, scholarships, studentships, medals and prizes;
9. the procedure to be followed at meetings of the authorities, including stipulation of quorum for transaction of business, where such stipulations are not already made in this Act;
10. the classification and nomenclature of teachers and other posts of University and its affiliated colleges;
11. the acceptance and management of bequests, donations and endowments; and
12. all other matters, in which statutes are required to be made under this Act.
