(1) This Act may be called the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008.

(2) It extends to the whole of India and it applies also—

1. to citizens of India outside India;
2. to persons in the service of the Government wherever they may be; 1***
3. to persons on ships and aircrafts registered in India wherever they may be 2[and].
