- If water supplied through a [Canal] [Certain words ommitted by Punjab Act 14 of 1968.] be suffered to run to waste, and if, [ - ] [See Punjab Act 14 of 1968.] the persons through whose act or neglect such water was suffered to run to waste cannot be discovered, all the persons chargeable in respect of the water supplied through such canal shall be jointly liable for the charges made in respect of the water so wasted.
