- The Commissioner of Excise, Joint Commissioner of Excise and the District Collector may grant a reward not exceeding the following amounts respectively Rs.2,000.00, Rs.1,000.00 and Rs.500.00 where no proceedings have been institured against the offender to any person who may give information leading to the detection or prevention of offences by the Excise staff under the Excise and NDPS laws and rules.
