If and when budget provisions so permit, the office peons of the office of the Commissioner of Excise and those of them in the District and sub-divisional Excise offices shall be provided with required uniform from Excise Head of Account. Drivers of Excise Departmental vehicles, if and when appointed on permanent basis, shall be supplied with uniforms on Government expenses and these uniform shall be of the pattern of those taken up by the Assam State Transport Corporation.
