An application for registration shall be made to the Registrar in the prescribed form.

The application shall be accompanied by a copy of the proposed bye-laws of the society and the chief promoter shall furnish such information in regard to the society as the Registrar may require.

Explanation.—For the purposes of this section and sections 9 and 10, "chief promoter " means the person who has signed the application for the registration of the society and who has been nominated in this behalf by the persons who have signed that application.
