- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act I of 1894), no land shall be acquired under that Act for the purpose of a joint farming society if the extent of the land to be so acquired exceeds ten per cent of the total extent of the lands pooled by the members:
Provided that no land shall be acquired as aforesaid unless the purpose of a joint farming society for which it is so acquired is a purpose specified in the Rules made in this behalf.
