- The State Government shall likewise-

(i) appoint such number of Assistant Devasthan Commissioners as it may deem necessary from time to time, and

(ii) define the local limits of the area in which each Assistant Commissioner so appointed shall have jurisdiction, and exercise the powers conferred on him by or under this Act or any other law for the time being in force.
